I was so honored to co-coordinate and be a part of the wedding of James Brice to Juliana Jennings on 8 April 2018 / 1781.  Harry Aycock and I worked on this program with the site for a few months, and I was very pleased with the result.  While it was a fictitious wedding, the day could not have been more beautiful, albeit a bit too cold to be outside (which was what we had originally planned), so we adapted our program to be inside.  The living historians who interpreted this event were extraordinary - we filled the house with a festive and fun day for being war weary (it was 1781 afterall).

The wedding was very well attended.  The Paca House and Gardens had two tours going through the house all day long.  We were able to interpret the wedding of James Brice to Juliana Jennings twice.  The Jennings purchased the house in 1781 from the Paca's.  Since the Brice's lived next door, it would have been befitting that the wedding take place in the bride's home.  Family and friends were invited, attended, and danced the day away!

Obviously the special day's focus was on the bride and her family.  We had 16 living historians that filled the house in various roles.  Many of us make our own clothing, or in my case jewelry!  Our group is one of the best on the east coast.
